Senza
ricorrere ad elementi narrativi l'artista presenta nella composizione dei suoi quadri un
ritmo di paesaggi caratterizzati tra il tema "figura e ambiente ", ravvicinati e
fusi in un'unica spazialità. Si scopre la volontà del pittore di mettere in risalto la
piccolezza delle cose create dall'uomo rispetto alla forza della natura . Nella pittura di Umberto Trani c'è la
ricerca costante della vita silenziosa degli oggetti e delle cose ; una vita calma, senza
rumori e senza movimenti,un'esistenza che potrebbe essere mossa dalla mano umana e dal
vento. Queste composizioni nell'insieme esprimono l'inquietudine di quel ciclo che la

dell'artista sia del passato, che delle nuove problematiche formulando le emozioni e i
cambiamenti del precario equilibrio di ciò che rimane e rimarrà parte di un paesaggio.
